Wesley Snipes Gets the Hammer

Tax Evasion, every American dreams someday they may one day avoid the horror of paying taxes, but we all know what happens to the normal American that does it. Up until now, most richer folks have been able to get away with it, though.

The judge put down the hammer on Snipes head and said enough was enough. Instead of letting him off with a slap on the wrist, he gave him a kick in the balls and a pipe up his ass. 3 years, the maximum sentence Snipes faced was given. Does he deserve it?

His friends, people ranging from fellow stars like Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson, as well as TV judges Joe Brown and Greg Mathis, say no, writing in several letters to the Judge before the case was decided. The defense argued that giving the maximum sentence would be ridiculous, and that he should be on probation or at worst, put on house arrest.

I don’t need to tell you the judge didn’t agree to anyone. Well done, Mr. Judge!

Snipes avoided paying the IRS over 40 million dollars in taxes, which as of now he has only paid some 5 million dollars back. Wesley came out of the court room, saying “Wow!” to the crowd outside after hearing the verdict. I’m sure he meant to finish that with “I wish I would have paid that money back earlier,” instead of coming off like the shocked bitch that he is.

The defense plans to take actions to get the sentencing undone, quoting that he “promises never to break the law again.” Hmm? So if I promise to never kill again after I stab my obnoxious neighbor and her ‘3 A.M. it’s time to bark now’ shiatsu, I should get house arrest?

Wesley says “Yes.”
